This project is where the original Lincrusta that came pre - coloured from the factory in brown as in the pattern book. Over time it has become tired through wear and tear and being chipped. The chipped area's were re-coloured, then cleaned before being re-finished giving it a deep rich brown soft finish.

We conserve exsisting examples like this ceiling where the wallpaper itself is in good condition, but the paint coating has failed. This entailed painstaking removal of the defectaive loose paint, then making good any damaged area and finally re-painted.

Asbestos in Wallpaper

Research has indentified that Anaglypta, Salamanda and Lignomur respectively at some point in their production history have been produced using Asbestos material.
